The Raspberry Pi Pico is a microcontroller board based on the Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcircuit
It was designed to be an inexpensive yet flexible development platform for the RP2040.
The Raspberry Pi Pico is a single-sided PCB with a micro-USB port protruding over the edge of the TOP and two self-aligning / through pins around the other edges. Pico is designed to be used as a surface mount module and also in Dual Inline Package (DIP) format, with 40 main user contacts on a 2.54mm (0.1 ") pitch grid with 1mm diameter holes, making it compatible with weroboard. The Pico also has four pre-drilled 2.1mm mounting holes for easy mounting.
It can be surface mounted as a module. Raspberry Pi Pico is programmed in C / C ++ and MicroPython.

The Raspberry Pi Pico module is equipped with 26 GPIO pins, which include: 2x SPI, 2x I2C, 2x UART, 3x ADC 12-bit, 16x PWM. Additional 8 IO pins (PIO) are designed to support non-standard peripherals.
The microUSB connector is used for power supply and communication of the Raspberry Pi Pico board with the computer. For the correct operation of the module, the power supply with the voltage of 5 V is required. The board can also be powered from the VSYS pin with the voltage from 1.8 V to 5.5 V, using e.g. 3.7 V Li-Pol battery or 3x AA batteries.
